As featured in Blade Magazine’s “Four Makers to Watch in 2011″, March 2011 issue. This was a side project for me, hence the dragged out completion date. I really dig this “as forged” finish. The final edge was the only grinding I did on this one.
5160 Forged
5/32″ thk
4 1/2″ cutting edge
4 3/4″ handle
9 1/4″ OA length

Handle is distressed oak, hemp wrapped (epoxy soaked) with two copper rivets (one exposed).
Sheath is 10oz veg tan, hand stitched, tooled, riveted and hot-dipped in a beeswax mixture. The neck lanyard is leather, as well.
